About the client

JPN Motorworks, better known as “Aca Japanac,” is one of the most recognizable auto service centers in Serbia, based in Kruševac. They specialize in a full range of services for all types of motor vehicles — from maintenance and diagnostics to top-tier tuning. Their reputation ranks them among the most sought-after and highest-quality in the industry, with a brand recognized across the region thanks to uncompromising quality, professionalism, and long-standing client trust.

Task

Our task was to build the brand’s complete online presence — from scratch. This included:

  • 1. 1. Strategy and implementation of a modern, professional, and tailored website
  • 2. UX structure that effectively communicates a wide range of services without confusing the user
  • 3. UI design that reflects the company’s character — serious, precise, masculine, yet digitally clean and functional
  • 4. SEO foundation and optimization for organic results locally and regionally
  • 5. Speed and technical perfection of the website, ensuring a high-level user experience

Challenges

  • 1. Extensive range of services – JPN Motorworks offers more than 20 different types of services, from maintenance to complex tuning. The major challenge was how to present all of it clearly, without cluttering the interface.
  • 2. Branding without existing digital guidelines – Apart from the recognizable name, the company had no digital guidelines, fonts, palettes, or style. We had to create a design system from scratch — one that looks modern but carries the spirit of the company.
  • 3. SEO from scratch – There was no previous web presence — meaning we had to start from zero when it comes to search positioning. But we used that as an advantage to structure everything correctly from the beginning.
  • 4. Conveying the company's character – The owner’s nickname “Aca Japanac” is well known and loved, but we couldn’t allow the brand to visually suggest they service only Japanese vehicles. We had to build an authentic identity that’s memorable and sends the right message.

Our approach and solution

1. Design system reflecting strength and precision

Based on provided guidelines and previous audit materials, we created a clean, modern, and functional design focused on readability, clarity of information, and accessibility across all devices:

  • - A custom design system was created using a dark palette with blue accents – evoking speed, performance, and reliability.
  • - SCSS was used for full control over layouts, spacing, responsiveness across all screens, and top-notch performance.
  • - Fonts and iconography were carefully selected to reflect mechanical precision and the technical nature of the brand.

2. UX structure based on user logic

  • - All services are organized into categories with a simple and intuitive layout (maintenance, tuning, electrical, bodywork, diagnostics, etc.)
  • - We added an initial “Service Finder” module that guides the user to the appropriate page in just a few clicks
  • - Highly visible CTAs for call, message, or location make conversions easier on mobile devices

3. SEO & Technical foundation

  • - Each service has an optimized individual page with localized meta data
  • - All essential SEO standards are implemented (semantics, heading structure, internal linking, image ALT)
  • - Website speed is measured in milliseconds – images are lazy-loaded, CSS is minimized, JS is asynchronous

4. Custom elements adding extra value

  • - Interactive service map with navigation option
  • - Instagram feed pulled directly from the service for added social proof
  • - “Before and after” gallery for the tuning section
  • - Clients can quickly get in touch via the integrated Phone button

Results

  • 1. 🚀 GTMetrix: A performance grade with a load time under 500ms
  • 2. 📈 Indexed on Google for multiple local keywords within 2 weeks (more indexed pages, better CTR)
  • 3. 📱 100% responsive design across all devices
  • 4. 👥 More inquiries and booked services directly from the website in the first month after launch

Conclusion

JPN Motorworks is an example of a client with all the qualities offline, but who needed an online system to match. Our task wasn’t just to “make a website,” but to create a digital extension of their reputation.
