About the client

Voice of Kosovo is an independent news portal delivering accurate, timely, and relevant news and analysis on regional events, created by the non-governmental organization “Speech and Freedom.” The portal covers a wide range of topics, including politics, society, and local issues, with a strong focus on objective reporting. The project was developed in collaboration with the HiStack team, using a modern web stack and tailored SEO practices.

Our task

Our task was to build a complete digital presence for the project from scratch, including the development of a web portal, setting up a solid technical SEO foundation, and integrating key external services. The focus was on creating a stable, scalable, and search-optimized system that enables long-term growth and visibility.

Challenges

• 1. One of the main challenges was aligning the content and communication tone with different regulatory and legal frameworks, especially considering the sensitive political context and the need for neutral and objective reporting.
• 2. During the project definition process, there was a need to balance editorial independence with the expectations of different stakeholders, which required additional attention when structuring the portal’s information architecture.
• 3. The specificity of the topic and the environment in which the portal operates required a high level of precision in presenting information, in order to avoid interpretations that could lead to legal or reputational risks.
• 4. A technical challenge was the development of a flexible SEO structure capable of supporting a large number of posts with automatic keyword generation and consistent indexing.
• 5. An additional challenge was coordinating implementation with a client from the NGO sector, where decision-making processes often involve multiple levels of consultation and alignment.

Our approach and solution

The design was developed according to modern UI/UX standards, with a focus on speed, clarity, and intuitive navigation. The goal was to create a modern news portal with clean visual hierarchies and maximum content readability across all devices.

Results

By implementing a complete digital system for Voice of Kosovo, a stable and scalable foundation for a long-term online presence was established. The project was transformed from an initial idea into a functional, modern, and technically optimized news portal that meets high standards of performance, SEO structure, and user experience. A strong focus on process automation (SEO, indexing, and content distribution) enabled a significant reduction in manual work and faster content publishing.

On the other hand, integration with external services and a carefully designed system architecture enabled the portal to be ready for further growth and audience expansion. With a strong focus on security, stability, and UX, the project was built as a long-term sustainable solution capable of supporting continuous growth in content and traffic.
